Symbia Logistics has named James “Jim” Grieco as President. The move brings one of the most accomplished leaders in the logistics industry to a company that has quietly built one of the most capable multiclient fulfillment operations in the country. For the brands Symbia serves and the ones still looking for the right partner, it is a meaningful signal: Symbia is investing in what comes next, and continuing to build a top talent team.

Jim’s career spans three industries, each adding a different layer to how he leads and solves problems. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy, including commanding officer of HSM-60, named Squadron of the Year. He then moved into global logistics at XPO and GXO, serving as VP of Advanced Solutions and overseeing the technical pipeline work spanning product creation, data-analysis, end-to-end design, engineering, pricing, contracts, and implementation. He later became VP, Head of Sales, responsible for the company’s five largest business units, where he oversaw the end to end commercials and go to market strategy. From there, he joined Balyo as Chief Marketing and Product Officer, focused on autonomous pallet movement and building marketing and product into a single growth engine. In every role, the approach has been the same: understand the customer’s problem first, then build the right solution around it.

“Symbia has built something that growing brands actually need, a flexible and highly capable partner that is built to scale. I’m here to develop more of the relationships that Symbia’s foundation is built upon.”

Jim Grieco, President, Symbia Logistics

What Jim brings to Symbia is more than a strong resume. He has spent his career at the intersection of sales, operations, and implementation, watching what happens when those things stay connected from the first conversation through steady-state, and what happens when they do not. He thinks at scale but is not afraid to get into the details when it matters. He moves fast, communicates directly, and is the kind of person who picks up the phone to solve problems quickly. For brands navigating rapid growth, operational complexity, or a complex fulfillment setup that has stopped working, Jim’s combination of experience and accessibility is exactly what enables the positive outcomes that logistics partners rely on.

Jim has not been quiet about his excitement. From day one, he has spoken highly of the team around him and the strong, capable and customer-focused organization they have built together. That energy is mutual. A leader with this depth of experience, paired with a team that has spent years perfecting multiclient fulfillment, is a combination Symbia is ready to build on. This is the next era, and it is just getting started.
