In other words, women-owned businesses are helping keep the U.S. economy afloat. This is one of the reasons why the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) plays such a critical role in supporting women and minority-owned businesses. NWBOC was the first organization to create a national certification program for women-owned businesses in 1995, but since then, it has become so much more by providing members with the procurement resources necessary for securing large government and corporate contacts.

As a women-owned business, Symbia recognizes the value that NWBOC delivers to its members through its annual event, Access, and was honored to sponsor a lunch during the three-day conference held in Detroit in June.

There will never be a better time than now to make NWBOC a part of your business’ plan for growth.

Since NWBOC’s objective is to support its members’ needs, the Access event was designed to help attendees gain access to seminars and networking opportunities that would help them grow their businesses. The event featured a star-studded lineup of keynote speakers: Emmy award-winning television host, entrepreneur, and author Martha Stewart, star of ABC’s Shark Tank Daymond John, and Founder and President/CEO of Herrera-Cristina Group George Herrera.
