Giving BacK: Supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Hard work is at the core of everything Symbia does. So, it should come as no surprise that the hard work by our fundraising team paid off in a big way for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year annual campaign.

Together, we raised more than $25,000 and were the third highest raising team. In addition, Symbia served as a bronze sponsor for the Man & Woman of the Year gala on June 10, 2017 .
There was no shortage of creativity in our fundraising efforts, which included partnerships with Denver restaurants and shops, such as Chick Fil A and Alex and Ani, a wine party for friends and family with tickets and raffles, spirit week at Denver schools, as well as email and letter writing campaigns directly to prospective donors.

“Whether one dollar or one thousand, your gift made big a difference.”

Man & Woman of the Year Campaign Assistant and part-owner of Symbia Logistics

A huge thank you to our team for reaching out to business contacts, friends, family, and neighbors. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who donated. Whether one dollar or one thousand, your gift is helping LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and myeloma as well as improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Thank you.

Great strides have been made in fighting these diseases, from advances in new treatment to better survival rates, but we still have a long way to go before the fight is won. Chances are that someone we know will be impacted by cancer in our lifetimes, so as we see it, everyone wins when cancer loses!
